Basics for QR codes that remain readable in use
A good QR code needs more than the right content. Contrast, size, quiet zone, error correction, file format and a realistic scan test determine whether it will work reliably later.
Static or dynamic
Static QR codes store the target information directly in the code. Dynamic solutions use a redirect address through which the destination can be changed later.
PNG or SVG
PNG works well for web, presentations and Office documents. SVG remains losslessly scalable as vector graphics and is especially suitable for print layouts.
Error correction
